Well, I got cocky and dropped by grocery budget from $400 to $300 this month to funnel the money somewhere else. So the month is half over and I'm 2/3 of the way through the money...it's another week of living out of the freezer/pantry.
Monday: grilled pork chops, pasta salad, steamed carrots
Tuesday: Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips, grilled cheese, salad
Wednesday: something boring like leftovers or a can of soup or something
Thursday: tacos
Friday: feta cheese rolls, Greek salad
Saturday: Cuban black beans and rice
Sunday: tilapia, roasted potatoes, steamed carrots
shopping list: frozen raspberries, 2 kiwis, tomato, green pepper, cucumber, chili powder (coffee, allergy meds)

ReplyDeleteWe're a family of 2 who have been known to eat a can of soup, cheese and crackers, or whatever to get by. Sometimes out of neccestity, but mostly because we're lazy! We're officially at $205 spent for the month, and I need allergy meds...but I think it'll work.
